About Us

The Solent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre is registered charity no. 299545, established in 1984 and is part of the network of MS Therapy Centres scattered throughout the UK.

Our catchment area is Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset, Isle of Wight and Surrey.

The therapies offered have been specially chosen to help ease the symptoms of MS and to help people cope with their daily lives. However, we can also help those with other neurological conditions and some cancers.

The Centre has two part time and two full-time paid staff and a team of committed volunteers who all ensure the Centre runs smoothly and is open six days a week.

The Centre is entirely self-funding, receiving no financial help from the NHS or Councils, so is reliant on donations including those for the therapies received.

THERAPIES

High Dosage Oxygen Therapy

Either Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment in our multi-person Barochamber or, if that’s not for you, using one an Oxygen Concentrator.

Physiotherapy

One-to-one tailored treatment with a specialist Neuro-Physiotherapist.

APS Therapy

Using an Action Potential Simulation machine to reduce and alleviate pain, stimulate injury repair, and enhance energy.

Complementary Therapies & Physical Well-Being:

Osteopathy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage, Chiropody and Yoga. We also have regular visits from a Beautician.

If coming from outside of Portsmouth, come off the A27 at junction 12 and follow signs for A2047/London Road (round the one way system). Turn left into Hewett Road. The Centre is on the corner of Hewett Road and Randolph Road. Come to the entrance on Randoph Road, through the big wooden gates.
We have one accessible parking space under cover (for unloading clients in wheelchairs in wet weather) and two on the road just outside the building. There is also plenty of free street parking nearby.
